Malmo Reclaimed Timber Side Table
There is a trend developing among many people to source out natural materials without impacting on some of the world’s most beautiful landscapes.
More and more people are now searching for good quality furniture, that’s both stylish and sustainable.
This growing trend has given many people the idea to use reclaimed timber, which has a unique and attractive look about it but does not impact on the earth’s natural resources.
Coming with an enormous amount of history including notches and nail holes, reclaimed wooden furniture comes alive in your hands and feels particularly rich and exquisite when it’s placed in your home.
One of the benefits of using reclaimed wood is that no two pieces of furniture is identical, everything handmade, nothing mass produced.

The Malmo makes use of this reclaimed wood and combines the rustic timbers with metal frames and wooden handles.
This small side table has some storage in the drawer for smaller items as well as a shelf at the base of the table and looks best with a smart table lamp upon it.

How to care for your natural, reclaimed furniture:
- Reclaimed wood is full with character, and often has small cracks and signs of weathering or evidence of its former life. Preventative measures should be taken to avoid stains, scratches and water marks on your wood furniture. Some residual marks will appear over time with use.
- Heat and direct sunlight will cause the wood to expand, creating gaps and cracks.
- Reclaimed wood inherently absorbs any fluid or liquid that touches the surface. Always wipe up spills as soon as possible and only ever wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth.
- To reduce the risk of spillages and any watermarks, we encourage the use of table coverings or mats to protect the surface.
- Avoid using any acidic or high alkaline based cleaners, or products containing bleach, ammonia, or petroleum.
The item I am considering purchasing says, “ready to deliver in X weeks”. What does this mean?
The product that you are interested in could be made to order, be a bespoke item or is not currently in stock. Our lead times can vary depending on the item or items that you wish to purchase. The “ready to deliver” date is based on information we have received from our suppliers to estimate when we expect the goods to arrive to HU. This date is an approximation and whilst we do everything we can to make sure your order gets to you when promised, sometimes the unexpected can cause a delay. We will contact you with updates as any delays are known to us and in the meantime, you can always get a live update by contacting our Customer Care Team.
When will I receive my order?
Once your order arrives at HU, we will contact you to advise that your goods are ready to collect or to arrange a suitable delivery slot.
Part of my order is available; can this be sent to me?
Your goods will be shipped when all the items on your order are available for despatch.
The item I want to buy says “in stock” when will I receive this?
Our team always endeavour to get in stock items dispatched as quickly as possible working closely with our logistics division and partners. Smaller items will be dispatched via DPD and should be with you within 3-5 working days, larger items can take longer to deliver. Further information on deliveries can be found here: https://www.housingunits.co.uk/delivery-returns
When can I collect my in-stock items?
Please refer to our click and collect page for further information on collecting items: https://www.housingunits.co.uk/click-and-collect
Why are some delivery times later than others?
Here at Housing Units, much of our furniture is sourced from both Europe and the wider world. Our suppliers also depend upon components which often come from overseas. Combined with several ongoing global supply issues, we continue to experience disruptions and unexpected delays (like many other retailers) which are out of our control. As a result, some of our products are taking significantly longer than usual to come into stock at the moment.
Please be assured that we are doing everything we possibly can to resolve any issues as quickly as possible and reduce the impact on you, our customer.
