Description of products

Each product purchased is sold subject to its product description which sets out additional specific conditions related to that product including, without limitations, terms and conditions concerning estimated delivery dates and times, warranties, after-sales service and guarantees. Whilst we will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are as up to date as possible, the information including product descriptions appearing on the website at particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order.

Measure your furniture

Will your new furniture fit? It is very exciting to purchase new furniture and we sometimes can forget to check if the product will fit into our home. Careful consideration must be given to access limitations, especially hallways, internal doors, and stairways. We cannot accept responsibility for goods that are too large to get into your home. To avoid the cost and the distress this would cause please measure the entrance to your property to make sure your chosen furniture will fit before you purchase. Where possible our website provides the dimensions of larger items. Pleae note that these measurements are approximate and are the dimensions of the actual products and exclude any packaging materials.

Placing an order

We wish to make the process of placing an order on our website as simple and straight forward for you as possible. To place your order for products on our website simply add items to your basket and then click checkout. You will be guided through the delivery and payment process by a series of simple instructions on the website.

Once you have paid for your order at our checkout, you will be sent a confirmation email detailing the products you have ordered. If you have selected to collect your goods rather than have them delivered to you, this email will contain all of the necessary information you will require to collect your goods.

Some of the products we sell and which are shown on our website require more of an in depth discussion with our trained staff to help ensure that you order the most appropriate product. We restrict the sale of these products on our website because we wish to be sure that you are completely satisfied with your choice. These products are clearly marked as "In-Store Only" and we ask that you contact us to request further information if you are interested in any of these products. Please click on the "request further information" button to submit an information request and our dedicated team will contact you as soon as possible.

If you do have any problems placing your order or would like to speak to one of our dedicated website team by phone, please call us on 0161 681 5678. Recycle your old electrical items

If you are buying a new electrical item we will recycle your old one for free. We offer a "Take Back" scheme on a like for like basis. For example, if you buy a new toaster you can bring your old toaster into the store or, if have purchased online you can return it by post (you are responsible for postage costs). You have 28 days in which to return the old item back to us.

To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with a crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin. If we do not recycle electrical items they will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination thus harming the environment, wildlife and also human health.

As a responsible retailer, we have met the requirements placed on us by offering all customers buying new electrical equipment a free take back service as per the Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive.

Delivery

Our delivery costs are calculated at the checkout page and are based on the post code you entered into your shopping basket and the weight and size of the items being delivered. Full details of our delivery services and prices can be found at Online Delivery & Returns.

Returns

We want you to be happy with your purchase, however we appreciate that occasionally goods are damaged in transit, or are not suitable.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON YOUR FURNITURE DELIVERY

Whilst we do everything that we can to make sure you’re that happy with your order, we do appreciate that items need to be returned from time to time or you require further contact with us about your purchase.  To help guide you through this process please read this important information regarding our Returns & Cancellation policies for Furniture & Larger Items.

Returns

If you change your mind before you start assembling your furniture, we are more than happy to arrange a return.  Please be aware that there’s a charge of £59 for this service.

To return a product, it must be in its delivered form and original packaging, undamaged and not tampered with in any way.  Please ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase before you start assembling it as if you’ve assembled or part assembled your furniture, then unfortunately this is deemed as acceptance of the products and they can therefore not be returned.

We have a returns policy of up to 14 days after the day we have delivered the product to you. You can inform us that you wish to return the item by phone, email or live chat on our website.  We will need the following information from you: personal details (full name and address), order number, product code and reason for the return.

Unpacking & Assembly

Please take time to check the product and all its parts in full within 14 days of product receipt. Do not start assembling until all the parts have been checked through.  No claims for damage will be accepted once you have started to assemble your furniture.

By assembling your furniture this is deemed as acceptance of the products and they can therefore not be returned.

Please follow the assembly instructions carefully. If you experience any problems whilst assembling your product, contact our customer services team.

Product Issues

If a product you purchase develops a fault, please email our team and support the email with photographs of the problem. We will arrange either an inspection and repair, a collection and replacement of the part/item in question or a refund depending on the situation.

If we find that the product has developed a fault or damage caused by accident, misuse, negligence or normal wear and tear, we are under no obligation to replace the item or issue a refund. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Replacements

Any shortages, damage or manufacturing fault should be reported to our customer services team.  Customers have up to 14 days following delivery to report damage, but claims must be supported by photographs and it is the responsibility of the customer to show that the damage has not been caused by any misuse or mishandling following delivery. All claims must be supported by photographs. In most cases customer services will resolve the problem by sending a new part as quickly as possible. It is in the customer's own interest to fully inspect all furniture as soon as possible after delivery.

Refunds

Where a refund is to be paid, we will always do this by the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. We will process the refund due to you once your goods have been received back into the Housing Units system.

A full refund, excluding delivery, will be issued providing that all goods are returned to us in the same condition they were at the time of delivery and in their original packaging.
