About the Event
Autumn is officially upon us & as we embrace the cooler season, here at Housing Units we love to switch up our interior styles to bring a cosy & welcoming feel to our homes. Our teams have been extremely busy behind the scenes, curating four beautiful new collections of furniture and home accessories to bring our customers the latest looks, in keeping with the new season.
With four brand new Autumn trends to showcase, we hosted our exciting ‘Fall for HU’ event at the Housing Units store, to give a selection of our favourite local VIPs and home account influencers an exclusive insight into each collection.
Choosing local influencers gives us the opportunity to exhibit our latest designs and ideas, which are then shared amongst our guests’ own social media platforms to spread the word & inspire their followers.
We love to see how our guests and customers style their HU products and beautiful homes, with social media playing a huge part in this!
A Welcome Reception
The evening began with a welcome drink & hors d’oeuvres in our Wickentree Restaurant, where each of our gorgeous new trends were represented by their own stalls. Each stall contained a selection of luxurious entrées, which had been carefully created and prepared by our fantastic in-house catering team, to represent each trend.
Guests were also treated to expertly mixed, mouth-watering cocktails & mocktails from The Fabulous Fizz Bar! These delicious refreshments were thoroughly enjoyed by all, whilst the vintage mobile bar made for some perfectly Instagram-able moments.
Live Music & Entertainment
David Brown is a fantastic local guitarist and vocalist based here in Manchester. We were lucky enough to have David playing at our previous Spring Soirée event and his talents were a huge hit with our guests! David returned to play for our Autumn event, perfectly capturing the essence of our store with his refined acoustic-style playlist.
The evening also included a fun talking point for guests in the form of a caricaturist! Pen Jones amused and entertained our guests and staff alike with his drawings, which were then shared on social media throughout the night.
A Tour of Our Store
As the evening progressed, our guests were given a tour of the Housing Units store, focusing mainly on our four gorgeous new trends for Autumn. Every item featured within the Luxe Deco, Indian Artisan, French Classicism and All Things Green themes have been attentively chosen by our expert teams to bring you the very best in quality and design.
Guests were invited to browse a selection of key pieces across both the Home Furnishing Store and Emporium buildings. From dining tables to sofas, to rugs, lighting and accessories, you will find the latest styles across all of our departments!
We’ve also recently undergone a huge Bedroom Department glow-up, so we invited guests to take a look around the new department which is now bigger and better than ever!
It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!
Okay, so we know it’s early, but who doesn’t love looking for gift ideas, decoration ideas and Christmas treats?! Finally, to wrap up the tour (no pun intended!) guests were given an exclusive preview of our fantastic Christmas Department, which also has four brand new themes of its own this year – Fairy Tale Romance, Wrapped in Luxury, Midnight Sleigh Ride and Merry Little Christmas.
As well as bringing ALL the cosy vibes and festive joy, our extraordinary Christmas Department is packed with an array of unique and eye-catching decorations. Whether your style is pretty in pink, bold & glamorous, mysterious blues or traditional red & white, you will find something for every home in our magical Christmas Department.
The Finishing Touches
Our Autumn event ended back in the Wickentree Restaurant, where guests were presented with an exciting goodie bag as a thank you for sharing their time with us. Guests were invited to enjoy some delicious dessert canapés and were welcomed to take an additional treat from each trend station for their goodie bags, again fitting in with the themes.
Not only did we thoroughly enjoy hosting this wonderful event, but planning and taking care of the finer details really makes a difference here at Housing Units and we believe this is reflected through all aspects of our store and shopping experience. Our guests were delighted with their personalised goodie bags take home & we look forward to hosting our next exciting event!
