DRU was founded in 1754 and as such is one of the oldest industrial companies in the Netherlands. The company gained its reputation through its production of cast iron pots and pans. A little further down the line the company switched over to producing fireplaces and since the discovery of natural gas in the Netherlands in 1959, DRU has specialised in the development and production of fires and fireplaces. The sale of gas fires is regulated by the Gas Appliances (Safety) Regulations 1995; by law all suppliers must ensure they supply only gas appliances and fittings that are safe when used normally. As a responsible retailer we will deliver your new fire to you in a sealed box. If this box is opened we cannot accept the fire back if you return it to us, unless your Gas Safe Engineer states in writing that it is faulty.

The product that you are interested in could be made to order, be a bespoke item or is not currently in stock. Our lead times can vary depending on the item or items that you wish to purchase. The “ready to deliver” date is based on information we have received from our suppliers to estimate when we expect the goods to arrive to HU. This date is an approximation and whilst we do everything we can to make sure your order gets to you when promised, sometimes the unexpected can cause a delay. We will contact you with updates as any delays are known to us and in the meantime, you can always get a live update by contacting our Customer Care Team.
When will I receive my order?
Once your order arrives at HU, we will contact you to advise that your goods are ready to collect or to arrange a suitable delivery slot.

Your goods will be shipped when all the items on your order are available for despatch.

Our team always endeavour to get in stock items dispatched as quickly as possible working closely with our logistics division and partners. Smaller items will be dispatched via DPD and should be with you within 3-5 working days, larger items can take longer to deliver.
