Cafe 1947

Café 1947 is aptly named after the year in which Housing Units was created and provides a counter style service.  We have added additional products to our menu and are currently offering a delicious choice of freshly made boxed salads, sandwiches and homemade soup.  Or you can simply grab a seat and enjoy a hot or cold refreshment with one of our cakes or patisseries.

Walk-ins only. Opening hours: Monday to Friday 10am–4.30pm, Saturday 10am – 5pm, Sunday 10.30am–4.30pm

The Café 1947 can be found on the First Floor of our Home Furnishings Store at our main site on Wickentree Lane (map and directions).

We cannot wait to welcome you back at Housing Units! With our dining destinations open, we can ensure the highest standards of care with social distancing and safety measures an absolute priority, whilst also ensuring your experience with us is relaxing, enjoyable and of course full of flavour!

We know things may feel a little different when visiting our Restaurant & Café, but we’ve made some small changes to keep you and our teams safe as well as following the latest government guidance. To support government tracing, we still advise that you provide your contact details.

To reduce contact, we have introduced a QR code. Simply, hover your phone camera over the QR code and it will take you to a digital version of our menu. So, sit back, relax and place your order.  Don’t worry if you don’t have access to the app paper copies will still be available. For the moment, our restaurant and café are only operating card and voucher payments.
