The Kitchen Design Centre opened recently on The Crescent at Housing Units. The studio showcases the very latest kitchen ideas and designs available today. With over 25 years experience they are true kitchen specialists and offer a vast range of kitchen products in every style imaginable. Their kitchen studio manager at Housing Units is John McWhinnie. John has his own team of designer/project managers, visualisers and installers on site. John told us: “Our design expertise speaks for itself, we employ excellent creative people and customers buy from us because we produce the kitchen that they are looking for and install it very competitively. We also manage our projects carefully through the processes involved and they are all usually handled by the same designer the customer has dealt with from the start.
Our customers trust this personal service, we like the one to one contact and I know our customers appreciate it. Our installers also share the same attention to detail as they handle all aspects of the installation process working closely with our designers”. The studio has some of the latest furniture designs ahead of launch in 2008. They have included exciting domestic appliance products by Neff, Miele, Britannia and others. Work surface materials are shown in Natural Stone, Engineered Stone, Glass, Solid Timber, Corian and the latest Duropal laminates. The showroom very much has a European feel to it but the English kitchen is well ‘catered for’ as any visitor will see.

In Autumn, Kitchen Design Centre will launch a totally new kitchen concept combining fitted kitchen furniture with free standing pieces in a hand made traditional style. This will be found in a new area of the showroom called the Neptune studio. John added “Our design work is carried out on a free of charge basis. If our customers wish, we visit them in their homes to carry out a survey and a list of their requirements. Alternatively we work from Architects drawings. Our slogan; “Free thinking, free design” is intended to convey a sense of designing outside the box, experimenting with the design options whilst at least initially our prospective client are charged nothing for this work. It can sometimes be a lengthy process but once we get started I know a lot of our customers find it great fun.” To visit our web site click www.kitchendesigncentre.com or call into their studio on The Crescent at Housing Units where you can park right outside their door without charge.
