Twelve days, a score of relatives, a hundred gifts to wrap and a million things to remember, but now only four self-contained Christmas decoration themes to choose from thanks to the combined creative and planning power of the design team at one of the UK’s leading home furnishers. Manchester-based housing Units has created four Christmas decoration themes to help families make decisions about how their home looks when Santa and the friends and relatives arrive.
“We’re always getting asked for design tips and direction, so this year the team has gone pro-active. We’ve looked far and wide and assembled four distinct Christmas decoration collections, and 3,609 lines,” said Nick Fox of Housing Units. “They can work whether theming the whole house as one, or different rooms in different ways.

“‘Opulence’ is as it sounds – golds, creams, browns and coffee colours combining to create a very sophisticated look. The range includes hundreds of decorations from glass balls to tinsel, ornaments and lights.

“‘Masquerade’ is rich reds, coppers, golds and creams and brings that traditional warm look to the room, again featuring every conceivable type of decoration.

“‘Tinsel Town’ takes a different direction, very much inspired by the style of art-deco American design – black and white, clear lighting, silver accessories.
“Finally, ‘Naughty but Nice’ is pinks and blacks, very much aimed at those who want to take Christmas decoration in a slightly different direction. “Each theme has its own section within our Christmas Street themed area in the store. There are also design displays and suggestions to help customers decide which direction their Christmas might take this year,” said Nick.
